Monica Carrero

Monica Carrero
« Concerning the conception of my artworks, I like to use exotic and natural materials (metals, iron, wood, stone etc.).
Living materials that are alive through texture and color.

Moreover, each of my creations are unique in terms of shape and material: I want my hand-made pieces to have their own energy and personality, mixing the reality with the abstract. My work is modern and contemporary trend but I find my influence in ancient materials and techniques that are still alive across the time. My ideas come from my inner spirit and my inspiration can come from any place, any moment or any feeling. I create my artworks with a strong passion coming from my raw emotions… When I create my art, I feel myself free and peaceful, in elevation with a divine energy drifting into a deep connection with the universe… ».

Monica Carrero Biography

Monica Carrero was born in Bogotá, Colombia in 1987.

She began her love story with the world of arts from an early age. Daughter of a Colombian impressionist artist involved in painting, sculpture and interior design, Monica’s passion for art appeared while they shared time at their studio.

She was raised in contact with different kinds of materials and paintings, which ultimately recreated the imagination of her mind and soul. Learning the complexity of art from her father, she soon started to create artworks using various techniques and materials with a great admiration for the forms, details and compositions.

Monica Carrero wants to mix the reality with the abstract. Each of her creation has a meaning behind but she wants the spectator to admire the message and the beauty of the artwork with his own imagination.

Her deep and emotional concept in connection with the human spirit made her achieve and innovate an unique style. As a result, she continues expressing her imagination in visual artworks, reflecting her exploration, using symbols and expressions with exotic materials like stainless steel, iron, aluminum, wire, copper, leather, acrylic painting on canvas and many others.

Monica has bloomed in her own development as an artist, and has been exhibited at galleries and art shows in Florida. Her art is truly artistic in every sense of the word, has captured the attention of critics, inspiration and acknowledgment.
