Sebastien Courty French, b. 1991

Born in France, Sebastien Courty was immersed in the realms of craftsmanship and art from an early age. His journey began at the National Art School of Paris, where he delved into sculpture and painting. Relocating to New York City in 2012, Courty further honed his skills at the prestigious "Fashion Institute of Technology," graduating in Textile and Surface Design.

Championing the ethos of "MADE IN USA," Courty spearheads diverse projects across the country, adorning private and public spaces with his collaborative artistry. Merging "Art" with "Design," he conceived a concept that harmoniously merges both realms, employing materials and components that cater to varying demands, specifications, and budgets. Courty's repertoire spans from exclusive gemstones and precious metals to eco-friendly, recycled materials like aluminum and durable polyurethane threads.

Establishing his Textile Art Studio in 2018, Courty's career has been shaped by the mentorship of industry veterans. His innovative approach infuses decorative elements into handwoven panels and standalone sculptures, tailored for interior designers, private collectors, foundations, and governmental institutions.

Exhibiting his creations across global hubs like Paris, New York, Beijing, and Dubai, Courty's collection "Totem - A Wall’s Jewelry" garnered international acclaim. Notably, his series of Totems, commissioned by the US Government and Art in Embassies for the new US Consulate in Saudi Arabia, received the prestigious CODA Award in 2022.
